Lovely lunch @tweed_valley_whey_cheese wander round Murwillumbah main streets and finally a wander round @tweedregionalgallery Judith Christina Weir and ’99 years’ Film photos of a bouquet of Waratahs and Flannel Flowers became a drawing, a design, a Linocut print, hand coloured with watercolours. In 2001 I did not have a digital camera as I could not afford one, so I was using a film camera. Films were expensive and slower to be processed but there is a certain quality about the photos that is different to the super sharp digital cameras used today. I have thousands of film photos and have organised all my film photos into small crates all…... So on a Sunday afternoon on 18th April 1999 I was sitting at a picnic table at Byron Bay's Main Beach with a sketchbook, likely doodling. I cannot remember why we were there, but also likely, we took the kids for a swim, fish and chips and ice cream at the beach. My husband was there so I could sketch a bit while he minded the kids.... This years wonderful cookies from @rarascookiejar Andrew @patch330 absolutely loved them and had to get out his two volumes of Calvin and Hobbes cartoon books to celebrate!
